The Townsend Congregational Church owns a three octave set of handbells, as well as a three octave set of handchimes. We have a handbell choir that plays these instruments during the Advent and Springtime services. We are always happy to welcome new members to the Agape Handbell Choir! Anyone in the ninth grade to age 101 with some musical experience is invited to join us. There are parts available from the easier spots in the high and low note ranges, to the more difficult spots in the middle note range. The Agape Handbell Choir rehearses every Wednesday from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. in the sanctuary, beginning in October. We play during the fall and holiday season, take January and some of February off, then start again at the end of February for the Spring. We end in May.
