About Village Common
Children's Center
Welcome to Village Common Children's Center where we provide enhanced child-centered learning programs for children 3 months through 2.9 years (Infant/Toddler Program) and 2.9 t Kindergarten age (Preschool Program), who come from various backgrounds and have different abilities. VCCC is a non-profit center that is committed to quality early care and education of all young children, as well as providing a supportive environment for families. We have also added a limited school age program.
We believe on focusing on the "whole" child therefore we encourage participation and growth in various areas of development - social, emotional, cognitive, language, pre-reading skills, self-help skills, fine and large motor abilities, etc.
The teachers are an educated and dedicated group of professionals, who will provide you and your child with nurturing and support that makes a difference in the lives of working families. They are committed to providing enriching and stimulating experiences for the children in a safe and inviting environment. These early childhood educators reflect the philosophy and approach that VCCC was built on. They continue to educate themselves in this field of study to better their understanding of children, techniques, new information about child development and any other information that pertains to early child education.
The following is required of all staff at VCCC:
- Criminal Offense Record Information (CORI)
- Health Examinations
- Reference checks
- Trained in CPR and First Aid
- Teaching style and philosophy are compatible with VCCC's goals and vision statement

Village Common Children's
Center Programming
Our goal is to assist parents in finding a schedule that meets their needs, while providing the best possible experience for their children. We offer our families options of extra days/time, as well as full-day programming for Kindergartners, when the public school is closed due to holidays, vacations, or inclement weather.
Below you will find a chart that best describes the programs we have to offer your family.
Our Daily Schedule includes the following:
*Group Time / Circle Time
*Snacks (morning and afternoon)
*Activity Time /Clip Time
Which includes: arts and crafts;writing center language arts; science discoveries; math manipulative's; sensory activities; gross motor play; cooking
*Outdoor Play (Nature Walks, Playground,etc.)
