Welcome to Village Common Children’s Center (VCCC) where we provide an enhanced child-centered learning program for infants/toddlers (6 weeks through 2.9 years) and Preschool/Kindergarten (2.9 years through Kindergarten) who come from various backgrounds and have different abilities.  VCCC also has an extended program for children first grade through age 9 ½.  VCCC is a non-profit center that is committed to quality early care and education of all young children, as well as providing a supportive environment for families.

We believe on focusing on the “whole” child therefore we encourage participation and growth in various areas of development – social, emotional, cognitive, language, pre-reading skills, self-help skills, fine and large motor abilities, etc.

VCCC’s Vision and Mission Statements

We believe that child care should promote the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth of each child.  Each child should be viewed as unique and encouraged to reach their full potential through developmentally appropriate experiences.  We are committed to enhancing each child’s understanding of their world so they can approach new concepts, materials, and situations with confidence and enthusiasm.  We provide an atmosphere where children feel nurtured and secure, while parents can be confident and trusting of the care their children receive. The core curriculum is centered on a value-based program, which focuses on positive social and emotional development.

We've Expanded!

VCCC is pleased to offer two new programs. For infants and toddlers not yet ready for preschool, we have a fully equipped nursery and nap room with specialized care providers. Children ages 6 through 9.5 are now able to come to the center for our after school program offering homework help and fun activities. For more information, please contact Melissa Gruber at (978) 597-0834.

THIS MONTH we had a visit from the Townsend Fire Department and learned about fire safetyl We're also learning all about farms, farmers and harvest season.
