Welcome to the virtual site of Townsend Congregational Church, United Church of Christ.  Take some time to look around these pages, but don’t go looking too hard.  We’d rather have you join us in person.  These pages only tell a little bit about the church.  There are two bigger stories that no words or pictures could possibly tell: the way we love one another and our God and our response to that love in worship, service, fellowship, and prayer.

The church always has a lot going on both within our walls and outside the church building.  We have people praying for each other and the world – I would bet almost 24- hours-a-day.  We have people serving in the name of Christ because, when they went through times in their lives when they felt unloved, hopeless, or without faith, Christ brought healing to them through the church.  TCC-UCC has volunteers acting on its behalf in the Townsend Ecumenical Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, Heifer Project International, many settings of the United Church of Christ, and other organizations.  We have people acting on their call to serve God in their homes, jobs, grocery stores, and on the streets – witnessing to the Christ made known in our community.

Townsend Congregational Church, UCC is more than a place.  It is more than the people.  TCC-UCC is a way of being in the world with faith, hope and love.  I could tell you more about the church, but I’d rather you visit us.  The mystery of God and the miracles of Christ keep unfolding.  Come and see for yourself.  God is still speaking!
