Townsend Congregational Church, United Church of Christ  
proclaimed February 2010 as Miss Pearl A. Russell Month. 
  Miss Russell is Townsend's oldest resident and holder of 
the Boston Post Cane,and is of course TCCC's oldest
 member,having joined the church when 
she was 12 years old.
     Pastor Shayna presented Miss Russell with the 
proclamation that was read at our annual meeting on 
Janary 21 and signed by members of the church  
 at that meeting. 
We plan to record and video our church family
 singing Happy Birthday wishes at our February 14 
worship service and will ring the church bell
   100 times at noon  on February 20, 2010, her birthday.
